3.5.2 Export to Facebook *
You may post photos to specific photo galleries associated with your Facebook account right from within Photosmith! Facebook authentication is performed via the native Facebook iOS app; please install the Facebook app on your iPad if you haven’t done so already. An Internet connection and Facebook account are required to authenticate with Facebook Export the first time.
You may choose the album to which Photosmith will export JPG files. Either type a new album name in the text box, or tap the circle to the right of the text box to browse and select from a list of your already-created Facebook albums.
Tapping the Send button will upload a JPG file of your selected photo(s) to Facebook at a resolution of 720 pixels on the longest edge.
Note: Photosmith’s Caption metadata field will automatically be used to populate the Description field in Facebook.
An Internet connection is required to send photos to Facebook.
If you’re having difficulty authenticating Photosmith with Facebook the first time, it might be caused by how you’re connecting to Facebook outside of Photosmith. There's actually three different ways that Apple’s iOS might be trying to log you in, and each works a little bit differently. The three different ways of logging into Facebook on iPad are:
- Through your iOS-linked Facebook account settings in iPad's Settings app -> Facebook (preferred)
- Using Safari (2nd best option)
- Through the Facebook app on your iPad

There have been certain cases were we have found option 3 to be not as reliable as options 1 and 2, listed above.
